About Antique & Specialty Flooring

Antique & Specialty Flooring is a family owned business which manufactures century-old reclaimed lumber into products for today's residential and commercial construction markets. The species stocked in Springfield include Antique Red and White Oak, Antique Eastern White Pine, Antique Heart Pine, and Antique Chestnut. In addition, the company will source other lumber and flooring species on special request. Among the many uses for their products are flooring, beams, cabinetry and paneling.

The business was started in Southington, CT in 1976 by a pioneer in the industry named Pete Caminiti, but moved to Springfield, MA in 2004 when Tony Frogameni became associated with the company. Between them they have over sixty years of experience in the lumber and manufacturing industries and are preparing to pass the business to the next generation.

The company continues to operate under the belief that each floor has individual characteristics which differentiate it from all others and that the customer should have as many choices as possible when dealing with reclaimed products. Customers are urged to make an appointment to visit the plant to choose their floor firsthand.
